ITS BEEN A BUSY YEAR

Being the OM of TeamAbsolut, I guess I reflect more on the past year than the rest. Perhaps I have more time since I fall behind more often last year in our regular wild goose chase every week. So, here's what we've achieved/endured over the past year.

1. We greatly expanded our membership. At my last count, we have 6 new riders who joined us regularly. Care to name 'em? Heheheheh...

2. We done our first century ride, albeit a metric one.

3. We organize our ADD (not Annual D&D, but Absolut Dedication Dinner) in record time, without horsing around, thanks to BeyKha. How appropriate!

4. We experienced the greatest arms race in Absolut history. Did you realize that at least $45K change hands on bikes alone? This must not go unnoticed to any LBS 'cos we have purchasing power!!!

5. Our avg. TTT group size is now 11. When we first started, we have about 8 for TTT.

6. Our avg. BTT group size has not change. In fact, we might be 1 or 2 fewer :-(

7. Our avg. TTT speed went up, 26-28 km/h up the Gap, 34-38 on the flats :-)

8. Our avg. BTT ride went south :-(. We're doing less punishing off-road lately.

9. Our avg. age went down, thanks to new blood.

10. Speaking of blood, we spilled more blood on the track last year, I think. I had 4 ocassions to apply W.S.O. on other Absolutees.

11. Our longest thread of Y2000: Who's Lance?

12. The burning question in Absolutees mind: What happened to Young Man?

13. Our biggest turnout for a ride: 15 riders on TTT.

14. Y2000 also witnessed 2 Absolut weddings and one baby Absolut. Congratulations!

15. A record number of Absolutees competed in race last year. Yeehaa!!

16. Best Absolut placing in a race last year: 3rd (Beykha). She's not called 'Horse Leg' for nothing!!

17. Fastest speed clock by an Absolutee: 70+ km/h down the Swiss Alps (BillyBanglaGoat)

18. Most bike currently owned by an Absolutee: 8 (BillyBanglaGoat).

19. Oldest Absolutee: 43 yrs AND STILL GETTING STRONGER!!

20. Longest trip down by an Absolutee: 1400 km over 10 days (Geek)

AND the best thing about TeamAbsolut last year:

Our very own WWW.TEAMABSOLUT.NET was born!!!!

And we're da FIRST bike team to have a website in Singapore. Any objections will be redirected to www.wesaiditfirstandyoucantmakeustakeitback.com.
